Alta Pettis

Alta R. Pettis, 90, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home, Hugoton, KS.
Alta was the daughter of Joseph N. & Willo Marylee (Washington) Ponder. She was born on November 7, 1928 in Dodge City, KS. She was a lifetime resident of Stevens County, KS.
She was a member of the Church of Nazarene of Hugoton, KS.
She was a member of Kiwanis Club, Hugoton.
Survivors include, a son, William Edward Oliver Jr., Desert Hot springs, CA.; a brother, Joseph N. Ponder, Albuquerque, NM.; seven grandchildren, Regina Oliver-Walls, William Oliver III, Tine Schavers, Darick Oliver, Michelle Palmer, Marqueta Reece, Shawna Hughes, many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, three sisters, son Christopher Pettis, two daughters, Carmen Sue Scott, Allecia Jane Hughes.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Church of Nazarene, Hugoton, KS at 11 AM and burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday 10 AM to 8PM at the funeral home.
