Ardyce Schmidt

Ardyce Ann Schmidt, 85, died on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Satanta District Hospital, Satanta Kansas.
She was born on May 2, 1931, Ordway, Colorado to Henry & Belle (Austill) Bartz.
She and Wilbert Schmidt were married on November 29, 1957 at Ordway, Colorado.
She came to Ulysses in 1957 from Ordway, Colorado.
She was a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church of Ulysses.
She was an RN and worked for Western Prairie Care Home of Ulysses. After retiring she became a Chaplin at The Legacy at Parkview, Ulysses.
Survivors include, husband , Wilbert Schmidt, Ulysses, KS.; two sons, Virgil Schmidt & wife, Kylee, Ulysses, KS., Kyle Schmidt & wife Julie, Pasco, WA.; two sisters, Hazel Arnpriester, Lubbock, TX., Lola Wing, Norwalk CA.; two grandchildren, Samantha Schmidt & Seth Schmidt and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Lucille Braden
A memorial has been established for Mennonite Brethren Foundation and The Gideon’s.
Funeral Service will be on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 2PM at New Life Church, Ulysses, KS and burial following at Golden Cemetery, Ulysses, KS.
Friends may call Saturday 10AM-6PM and Sunday 2PM -8PM at the funeral home.
