BARBARA KATHRINE (REISSIG) COOK
Barbara Kathrine (Reissig) Cook, 91, died on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home, Hugoton, Kansas.
She was the daughter of Benjamin and Olive (Wood) Reissig. She was born on January 10, 1926 in Ft. Scott, Kansas.
She married Wallace Cook on July 1, 1944 in Walnut, Kansas. They moved to Hugoton in 1948 from Liberal, Kansas.
She is survived by her two sons, Rodney L. Cook and wife Sharon, Wellington, KS., Phillip M. Cook and wife Rosie, San Antonio, TX., two daughters, Jackie Walker and husband Frank, Hugoton, KS., Karen Schmidt and husband Wesley, Rolla, KS.; Seven Grandchildren, Missie Bales, Guymon, OK., Nathan Cook, Garden City, KS., Keenan Cook, Topeka, KS., Sandy Stout, Wichita, KS., Matthew Walker, Chico CA., Craig Walker, Parachute, CO., Ben Schmidt, Rolla, KS., 12 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Wallace Cook, two brothers, LeRoy Reissig, Joe Reissing, sister, Georgie Welsh.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton, KS with Frankie Thomas presiding.
Friends may call Monday 10 AM to 8 PM at the funeral home.
