Betty Louise (Hatch) Goode

Betty Louise (Hatch) Goode, 78, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, Kearney County Hospital in Lakin, Kansas.

Betty was the daughter of LeRoy and Lorena Mildred (Avent) Hatch.  She was born on August 29, 1944, Lake Aruthur, New Mexico. 

Betty and Burt Lloyd Topliss were married on May 8, 1964 in Amarillo, Texas. He preceded in death November 19, 1998.

She later married Lin Goode on August 25, 1999 in Elkhart, Kansas. He preceded her in death November 13, 2020.

Betty was a member of Hugoton of Church of Christ.  She was active within the church and she loved her church family.

Betty loved and enjoy her family especially when she got to babysit her grandchildren. Her hobbies were cooking, baking, knitting, sewing, flower beds, and yard work.

Survivors include two sons, Leslie Don Topliss and wife Angie, Moline, KS., Duane Lloyd Topliss and wife Chrissy, Hugoton, KS.; three step sons, Allen Goode and wife Karen, Heber Springs, AR., Darrell Goode and wife Ashley, Danny Goode and wife Traci; two step daughters, Jolene Goode, and Dianna Miller and husband Arick all of Hugoton, KS.; 15 grandchildren, 8 great Grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Chance Topliss; brothers, Charles and Darvin Hatch; sister, Bonnie Mitchell.

A memorial has been established for Hugoton Church of Christ. In the care of Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, Kansas 67951.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Hugoton Church of Christ, Hugoton, Kansas. Burial to follow at Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton.

Viewing will be Sunday, August 13, 2023 from 2 PM to 6 PM at Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton.
