Brian Lynn Addison

July 29, 1960 — November 29, 2024

Cimarron, Kansas

Brian Lynn Addison, 64, born July 29, 1960, to Doc & Deloris (Dugger) Addison, peacefully departed this life on November 29, 2024, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. After making great strides towards recovering from a single vehicle motorcycle accident in August 2024, it was cancer that ultimately took him from his family. He grew up in Cimarron, where he graduated from high school in 1978.

Brian was a loving family man whose heart belonged to his family and friends. He was a lifelong resident of Cimarron. He cherished his grandchildren who affectionately knew him as "Pop Pop." His interests were as diverse as his character; racing cars, hunting, fishing, and working tirelessly farming and ranching, but his greatest pleasure came from riding his Gold Wing or Spyder motorcycles. These passions reflected his adventurous spirit and strong connection to the land.

Brian is survived by three sons: Matthew Addison of Cimarron, Kansas; Ross Addison and wife Alayna of Holcomb, Kansas; Joseph Addison of Scott City, Kansas. Brian is also survived by daughter, Robynn Mariche and husband Robert of Dodge City, Kansas. His mother, Deloris Addison of Lakin, Kansas, along with his brother Darrin Addison and wife Traci of Tracy, Missouri, and sister Stacey Howland and husband, Mike of Syracuse, Kansas. Brian was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Jonathan Ferguson, Carter Mariche, and Olivia Mariche, all of Dodge City, Kansas, and Nora Addison of Holcomb, Kansas. He will be fondly remembered by many other relatives and friends who were touched by his kindness and friendship.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Eugene "Doc" Addison; and infant sister, Tami Addison.
