Carolyn J. (Wetzel) Langley, 81, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022, in Hugoton, Kansas. The daughter of William and Lucy (Demain) Wetzel and she was born on January 25, 1941, in Spearville, Kansas.
Carolyn loved to cook for her family and others. She was well known in Hugoton for being one of the best breakfast cookers in town. Along with cooking breakfast, she enjoyed baking, gardening, fishing, and her cats.
She attended the First Christian Church of Hugoton.
Survivors include son, James Langley and wife Ronda, Rolla, KS.; four daughters, Shirley Lipham, Joplin, MO., Sharleen Dewane and husband Juan, Oklahoma City, OK., Wendy King and husband Andy Newsome, Garden City, KS., Glenda Langley, Dodge City, KS.; brother, Merlyn Wetzel, Haysville, KS.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; lifelong friend, Wayne Feldman; many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Langley; brothers, Gene and Vernon; sisters, Edith, Dorothy, Velma, and Erna.
A memorial has been established for Carolyn Langley Memorial Fund, in the care of Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, Kansas 67951.
On Friday, February 25, 2022, a visitation will be held from 10 AM to 2 PM at Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton.
On Saturday, February 26, 2022, a funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM, at First Christian Church in Hugoton, with Pastor Heath Kelley presiding. Burial to follow at Hugoton cemetery.
