Corina A Vasquez

Corina A. Vasquez, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and, great-great grandmother passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024, in Ulysses, Kansas, at the age of 89. Born on June 13, 1935, in Hunter, Texas, she lived a life rich with love, family, and cherished memories.

Corina will be remembered for her warm spirit and unwavering dedication to her family. She is survived by her four sons: Ysidoro Vasquez and wife Lynn of Phoenix, AZ; David Vasquez and wife Dee of Woodward, OK; Carlos Vasquez and wife Donna of Woodward, OK; and Albert Vasquez and wife Valerie of Lubbock, TX. Corina also leaves behind three daughters: Christina Rivas of Ulysses, KS; Corina Carabajal of Woodward, OK; and Maria Vasquez and husband Arturo Rivas of Ulysses, KS. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Stil Guerrero of Arkansas City, KS.

Throughout her life, Corina was a source of inspiration and joy to her extensive family, which includes 26 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends who were touched by her kindness and generosity.

Corina was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three sons: Armando Salgado, Abel Vasquez, and Epifano Vasquez. She was also preceded by five brothers and a sister, who all played an important role in her life.

Known for her love of Bingo, word searches, cooking, and watching her family dance, Corina brought joy and laughter to every gathering. Her ability to create warm, inviting spaces made her home a hub for family activities and celebrations. She will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Viewing is scheduled for Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Robson Funeral Home in Ulysses, Kansas. 

Funeral service will be held the Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM, also at Robson Funeral Home.

Corina A. Vasquez's legacy will live on through her family and friends, who will always hold her memory close to their hearts.
