Cuauhtemoc “Cuauhty” Natividad Hernandez, aged 51, departed this earthly realm on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at St. Catherine's Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. Born on January 13, 1974, in Pasadena, California, he was the cherished son of Natividad and Irene (Gonzales) Hernandez.
On December 13, 2008, Cuauhtemoc joined in matrimony with his beloved Zuilma Tellaeche, creating a partnership that was both remarkable and profound. Their love story unfolded through shared adventures and treasured moments, whether exploring new horizons or simply relishing each other’s presence.
A man blessed with numerous talents, Cuauhtemoc had an undeniable passion for cooking and thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on challenges of home repair. He also found great joy in nurturing his garden. However, his deepest fulfillment blossomed within the bonds of family. He treasured the simple pleasures of life, especially the joyous outings to the movies with his wife and children. A devoted father, he took immense pride in supporting his children's endeavors, often attending their soccer tournaments with a heart full of joy.
Cuauhtemoc's spirit lives on through his devoted wife, Zuilma Hernandez; his loving mother, Irene Hernandez; and his eight cherished children: Joshua Michael, Isaiah Armond, with his significant other Anahi; Eden Cuauhtemoc; Samuel Guillermo; Noah Natividad; Desirae Abigail; Leah Irene; and Elisa Briseyda Hernandez; as well as his precious granddaughter, Luna Hernandez. He is also survived by his sister, Andromeda "Andi" Schimke, and her husband, Kent; his brother, Tomas Hernandez, and his wife, Lela. Cuauhtemoc’s legacy continues through his nieces and nephews, including Kaitlyn Sumption and her husband Zach, Kennedy Schimke, Kade Schimke, Isaac Hernandez, Evelyn Hernandez, and a wholesome community of relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
As Cuauhtemoc ascended to Heaven, he was welcomed warmly by his beloved father, Natividad Hernandez.
In honor of his memory, a memorial fund has been established for Cuauhtemoc Hernandez. Contributions may be made payable to Robson Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses. Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 10 A.M. until 8 P.M., and Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 10 A.M. until 8 P.M. at Robson Funeral Home, 620 N. Main Street, Garden City, Kansas. The funeral service will take place on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. at Robson Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas, with burial to follow at Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield, Kansas.
