Curtis Lee Haehn, aged 61, passed away on August 10, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas. He was born on December 9, 1962, to Claude Lee and Audrey Faye Grace, in Tucson, Arizona. Despite the gruff exterior and tough persona Curtis was actually kindhearted and generous friend and family member who loved to tease. To family members and friends, he was the embodiment of kindness, humor and generosity touching the lives of family and friends.
Curtis served honorably in the Army where he was a proud member of the 82nd Airborne. After his military service, he embarked on a career at AMF Tubascope in Houston, and later relocated to Hugoton, Kansas, where he worked for KDOT until his retirement on February 1, 2024.
An avid outdoorsman, Curtis relished his time fishing and hunting with his family and simply being in nature, activities that brought him much joy and peace. He loved bluegrass music and liked to play bluegrass on his guitar. His love for music was profound, often playing the cornet and guitar, which resonated the soundtrack of his life’s many chapters.
Curtis is survived by his loving wife Tonya Haehn, brother, George Haehn and wife Stephanie of Amarillo, TX; Sisters Sheryl Lehmann and her husband Kevin of Gulfbreeze, FL, and Carol Cadenhead of Dumas, TX.
He was a beloved Uncle to Brandt, Jhon, Jacob, Joesph, Braden, Breanna, Danielle, Bella, Kaileigh, Cassie, Tana, Bridgett and many great-nieces and nephews.
