Deborah Grace (Dallan) Settlemyer, 64, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Stevens County Hospital, Hugoton, Kansas.
Debbie was the daughter of Charles and Neva Fern (Donovan) Dallan, born on November 15, 1956 in Greensburg, Kansas. She was the mother of twins, Casey Wayne and Derek Glenn who were the light of her life. Debbie was the hardest working mother who loved and provided for her boys. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with them.
Debbie enjoyed doing everything with her two granddaughters, Sadie and Rylee who were her world. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her sisters and was considered the rock of the family. She worked at Stevens County Healthcare for over twenty years and Seaboard Foods for thirteen years.
She is survived by her son, Casey Settlemyer and wife, Beth of Hugoton, KS.; five sisters, Judy Bagby, Holton, KS., Ginger Cantrell, Hugoton, KS., Barbara Dallan, Holton, KS., Cheri and husband Terry Kuehn, Hugoton, KS., Suzie Dallan, Omaha, NE.; three grandchildren, Sadie Mae, Rylee Grace, and one arriving in August; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Neva Fern; son, Derek; three brothers, Charles, Mike, and Tony Dallan; sister, Betty LaCore; and nephew, Troy Cantrell.
In an effort to show her compassion and love for helping young children, including her granddaughters, a memorial has been established for Russell Child Development Center. Memorials may be mailed to 2735 North Jennie Barker Road, Garden City, Kansas 67846 or mailed/dropped off to the K-State Extension Office at 114 East 5th Street, Hugoton, Kansas 67951.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2021, from 5 to 8 PM and Thursday, May 13, 2021, 10 AM to 5 PM at Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton.
Rosary will be held Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 7 PM at St. Helen Catholic Church, Hugoton, Kansas.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 14, 2021, at St. Helen Catholic Church, Hugoton, Kansas with Pastor Khoi Nguyen presiding. Burial to follow at Hugoton Cemetery. Robson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
