Elwood Roy Harshbarger, 80, Norton, Kansas, was promoted to Heaven on Saturday, October 7, 2023. Roy Harshbarger was born on January 3, 1943, in Hays, Kansas to Marcus and Francis (Canaday) Harshbarger and born again when he placed his trust in Jesus Christ as his Savior.
He was preceded in Heaven by his wife, Carol Marie (Saddler), parents and a grandson, Lance Harshbarger.
Survivors include his sister, Mrs. Cindy Bridges and husband Ron of Neosho, MO.; four sons, Daniel and wife Vickie of Ingalls, KS, David and wife Shelley of Norton, KS, Kevin and wife Tracey of Spring Valley, OH, and Kary and wife Amber of Wichita, KS; nine grandchildren; a step-granddaughter; seven great-grandchildren with another one on the way; and three step-great-grandchildren with another one expected soon.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cornerstone Church, 313 W. Lincoln St., Norton, KS, with public visitation Friday, October 13, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Plumer-Gobber Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Norton City Cemetery following the funeral service.
