George Roger Quigley, 80, passed away from this life Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at his home in Elkhart, Kansas. He was born November 15, 1940, in Calumet, Oklahoma. The son of Christopher and Bessie Ida (Schmidt) Quigley.
He married Jo Ann Moore on November 4, 1972, in Elkhart, Kansas.
Hobbies included woodworking, camping, fishing. He was very ornery around his family.
Survivors include loving wife, Jo Ann Quigley, of the home; Christopher Quigley and wife Elaina, Elkhart, KS.; daughter, Vivian Whisennand and husband Shannon, Elkhart, KS.; brothers, Jim Quigley and wife Karen, Kingfisher, OK., Larry Quigley, Oklahoma City, OK.; sister, Christene de Menars, Abilene, TX.; brother-in-law, Bob Zunski, Corapolis, PA.; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Leota Zunski, and infant brother.
A memorial has been established for the American Legion. Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 606, Elkhart, Kansas 67950.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 5, 2021, 2 PM to 8 PM. Family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM, Robson Funeral Home, 120 Grant Street, Elkhart, Kansas.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021, 1 PM, Elkhart Cemetery with Pastor Justin Collins presiding.
Robson Funeral Home, Elkhart is in charge of arrangements.
