Isabele Martinez (Medina)

Isabele (Medina) Martinez, 89, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, Ulysses, Kansas.

The daughter of Fidel Medina and Refujia (Medina) Gonzales, she was born July 8, 1932, in Pearsall, Texas.

Isabele and Juan Gambola were married for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She really enjoyed visiting with her family and friends.

She was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Ulysses.

Survivors includes husband Juan Gambola, Ulysses, Kansas; three sons, Michael Martinez Jr., Oakland, California, Rick Martinez and wife Jackie, Panama, Oklahoma, Steve Martinez and wife Socorro, Wichita, Kansas; a daughter, Mary Romero and husband Mike, Andover, Kansas; two brothers, Bennie Medina, Oregon, Rudy Gonzales and wife Michelle, Salt Lake City, Nevada; four sisters, Deborah Rivera and husband, Jesse, Omaha, Nebraska, Lucy Munoz and husband Gilbert, Sacramento, California, Ruth Bose, Kearney Nebraska, Josephine Bjorn, Kearney, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Gloria Littlemoon; three sisters, Naomi Gonzales, Evelyne Kouba and Emilee Martinez.

A memorial has been established for Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church. In care of Robson Funeral Home, 218 S. Main, Ulysses, Kansas 67880.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021, 11 AM to 5 PM, Robson Funeral Home, Ulysses.

Virgil service will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021, 7 PM, Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Ulysses.

Funeral mass service will be held Friday, September 24, 2021, 10:00 AM, Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Ulysses. Burial to follow at Ulysses Cemetery.
