Jennifer L. Elsen, 48, of Garden City, Kansas passed away Monday, January 1, 2024. Jennifer was born February 28, 1975, to Michael and Carolyn Emmert in Brighton, Colorado.  Jennifer graduated from Elkhart High School in 1993 where she played basketball and volleyball.  On June 4th, 2001, Jennifer married Todd Elsen in Clayton, New Mexico.  Jennifer was a dedicated wife and proud mother to her children Derek, Cameron, Ashley, and Eric. 

She worked for Walmart in Garden City for almost 23 years.  In her free time, Jennifer enjoyed gardening and canning her produce.  She enjoyed sharing her gift of propagating plants to friends and family.  Jennifer was very gifted when it came to Holiday decorating at her home, the Christmas magic was felt by all because of her passion for decorating.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn; and grandparents, Olaf and Margaret Bye and Thurman and Joy Emmert. 

Jennifer is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Todd Elsen; her children, Derek Emmert; Cameron Espinoza and girlfriend, Andrea De La Torre; Ashley Elsen and Eric Elsen; father and stepmother, Mike Emmert, and wife Tammy; sisters, Kristina Anderson, and husband Loyde; Amy Bicalho and husband Italo; Amanda Collins; Tausha Hoyt and husband Tony; brothers, Cody Emmert and Beau Line and wife Malenda. A grandson, Jonathon Rangel; her in-laws, Bill and Myrna Barnes, Roger and Dede Elsen also survive her; beloved pet Bella Mae; and a tribe of nieces and nephews.  

Her family is planning a memorial service for a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Robson Funeral Home of Garden City.
