Julia Faye Shank, 87, died on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Stevens County Hospital, Hugoton, KS.
She was born on August 4, 1928, Hugoton, KS to Irvin & Nina Grace (Grossman) Beavers. She was a lifetime resident of Hugoton.
She and Henry Shank were married November 19, 1946, at Hutchinson, KS.
She attended First Church of God, Hugoton.
She loved and enjoyed her family. She loved to go camping. She loved to sew, crochet, playing piano, guitar, dulcimer and autoharp. She made Afghans for each one of her grandchildren.
Survivors include, 3 sons, Randy Shank, Colorado Springs, CO., LaMont & wife Cindi Shank, Sedalia, MO., Stacy & wife Velvet Shank, Zebulon, N.C., 4 daughters, Glenda Shank, Hugoton, KS., LeNeda George & husband Delarri, Turpin, OK., Jenita Hisle & husband, Lake Charles, LA., Daira Brower & husband Rex, Hugoton, KS., a brother, Bernerd Beavers, Palestine, TX.; 16 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Son, Reggie Shank, Grandson, Wayne Hawkins, Great Grandson, Johnathan Hawkins and 4 Sisters, Iona Ruth Polster, Estella Hodges, Freeda Taylor, Naomi Mitchell and 2 Brothers, Claude & Paul Eldon Beavers.
A memorial has been established for First Church of God, Hugoton. Memorials may be mailed to Paul’s-Robson Funeral Home, PO Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at 2 PM at the First Church of God, Hugoton and burial at Hugoton Cemetery with Pastor Pam Peachey presiding.
Friends may call Sunday 2-8 PM and Monday 10AM – 8PM at the funeral home. Family will receive friends Monday from 5-7PM at the funeral home.
