JURRELL JESSE MEDINA

Jurrell Jesse Medina, 31, died on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Castle Rock, CO.
The son of Jesse & Binky (Reeder) Medina, he was born on May 15, 1985 at Liberal, KS.
Jurrell graduated from Hugoton High School, while in attendance he enjoyed playing football, basketball, running track and wrestling. Jurrell’s athleticism was awarded with 2003 Offensive MVP and Eagle Player of Year, he was also named All League, 1st Team Offensive Running Back, Defensive End and Honorable Mention All-League Punter. Jurrell also holds the Triple Jump Record for Hugoton High School.
Jurrell attended Hutchinson Community College, where he played football. Their team went to the bowl game where they brought home the win. He graduated from Hutch with an Associate’s Degree in Business.
Jurrell then went on to graduate with honors from University of Kansas with Bachelor degree in Communications and Economics.
Survivors include parents, Jesse & Binky Medina, Hugoton, KS; three brothers, Jeremy Reeder, Wichita, KS., Jathan Medina & wife Robyn Woodward, OK., Jarod Medina & wife Tasha, Hugoton, KS.; four nieces, Bethany & Shelby Reeder, Emmi & Abrielle Medina; three nephews, Cameron, Carson & Kevyn Medina; Fraternal Grandmother, Susie Medina, Rogers, AR., Maternal Grandmother, Jeri Reeder, Hugoton, KS., Aunts and Uncles, Bobby Medina, Topeka, KS., Theresa & husband Ralph Estes, Rogers, AR., Yolanda Blattner & husband Jeff, Montezuma, KS., Patricia Oder & husband Fred, Canyon, TX., Donice Medina, Joy Lewis & husband Russell, Debi Peterson all of Hugoton, KS. with a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfathers, Manuel Medina, Wayne Reeder, and Uncle Mike Medina.
A memorial has been established for Pheasant Heaven Charites. The Memorials may be mailed to Paul’s-Robson Funeral Home, PO Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10AM at Hugoton High School Gymnasium, Hugoton, KS 67951 and burial at a later date.
Friends may call Friday 10AM to 8PM at the funeral home.
