Justino Dellgado Torres, aged 81, passed away on May 11, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on May 28, 1941, in Arroyo, Mexico, to Nicolas and Catalina (Dellgado) Torres. Justino enjoyed working on the farm and cowboying. He had a passion for riding horses and spent many happy times at his ranch in San Vicente de la Puerta, Mexico, where he grew up. He treasured spending vacations with his family in Mexico, especially with his parents, who he adored. Above all else, Justino loved spending time with his grandchildren. He would play and joke around with them with great joy. Despite health challenges, Justino maintained a positive attitude toward life. He was a devoted husband to Margarita Torres and will always be remembered as a loving father and grandpa by his children.
On May 11th, Justino's children and some grandchildren were present at his bedside when they saw his heart take the last beat. Justino's passing has left a deep void among those who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Margarita Torres of Satanta; two sons Carlos Torres of Winfield, KS., Noelio Torres and wife Tiffany of Satanta, KS.; two daughters Olga Torres of Navasota, TX., Catalina Torres of Perryton, TX.; 22 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Justino was preceded in death by his parents, son Justino Jr., and sister Connie Torres.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Robson Funeral Home, Satanta.
A Rosary Vigil at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Satanta, Kansas, on Wednesday, May 17th at 7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 18th, at 10:30 AM at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Satanta, Kansas. For those wishing to honor Justino's memory with a donation, a memorial has been set up for the family where checks may be payable to Robson Funeral Home and mailed to P.O. 747, Satanta, Kansas 67870.
Justino lived a full life surrounded by the love of his family. His presence will be missed dearly, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched. Robson Funeral Home in Satanta is overseeing arrangements, and we hope that his soul finds eternal peace in heaven.
