Loretta Jane Blackburn Brown

Loretta Jane Blackburn Brown, 67, passed away Monday afternoon, October 22, 2018 at her home.

The daughter of T.L. and Julia Faye (Larson) Blackburn, Loretta was born September 6, 1951 in Guymon, Oklahoma. Loretta was raised in Guymon and graduated from Guymon High School. She was the youngest child of six children.

Loretta and Donnie Brown were married on September 5, 1969 in Guymon, OK. To this union there were two children Bill and Julie. They made their home in Kismet, Kansas. Loretta worked for National Carriers as a dispatcher and a customer service representative for 25 years. She enjoyed spontaneous roads trips with her friends to go shopping. She loved her grandchildren and dogs.

Survivors include her husband Donnie Brown; a son, Bill Brown & companion Shelisa all of Kismet, KS.; a daughter, Julie Lewis, AZ.; a brother, Donald Blackburn & wife Joan, Balko, OK.; two sisters, Darlene Brooks, Guymon, OK., Bonnie Carson & husband Don, Iowa Park, TX.; three grandchildren, Hadle Brown, Kaden and Kami Lewis and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jack and Jim Blackburn.

A memorial has been established for Loretta, in care of Loretta Brown memorial fund. Memorials may be mailed to Paul’s-Robson Funeral Home- PO Box 236-Hugoton, KS 67951.

The Brown family will receive friends for viewing and visitation on Thursday evening, October 25, 2018, 5-8:00 PM. Visitation will be at First Southern Baptist Church, 621 Western Ave, Liberal, KS.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018, 10:30 AM at the First Southern Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Caddell. Lunch will be served at the church for the family and friends. Interment will be at 2 PM at Elmhurst Cemetery, Guymon, OK.
