Lou Ann Cavner, 78, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020, Stevens County Hospital, Hugoton, Kansas.
She was the daughter of Grady and Edith (Walden) Lankford and born February 6, 1942 in Liberal, Kansas.
She and William Roy Cavner were married and to this union were two children, Jeff and Brian.
Lou Ann was a member of the United Methodist Church and Pollyanna’s. She enjoyed the County Fair and organized dances at the Hugoton Senior Center. Beyond that she loved working at the Hugoton Senior Center and loved seeing the people who came into see her every day. She loved to research her genealogy.
She is survived by two sons, Jeff Cavner, San Diego, CA. and Brian Cavner, Topeka, KS.; two granddaughters, Sunny Smart, Lawrence, KS. and Sidney Cavner, Lawrence, KS.; two great-grandchildren, Allison Wiggins and Ryleigh Smart, Lawrence, KS.; brother, Joe Lankford and wife Carol, Enumclaw, WA.; many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Edith (Walden) Lankford and husband, William Roy, and stepfather, Lewis Eyeman.
A memorial has been established for Hugoton Senior Center. Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, Kansas 67951.
Graveside will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2020, 10 A.M. at Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton, Kansas with Pastor Wesley Young presiding.
Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton is in charge of arrangements.
