Lucila Maria Santillan-Garcia

Lucila Maria Santillan-Garcia, 51, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at CenterPoint Medical Center, Independence, Missouri.

The daughter of Ignacio and Cruz (Montoya) Santillan. She was born May 31, 1970, in Dumas, Texas. Lucy grew up in Moscow, Kansas and graduated from Moscow High School.

She and Esteban Garcia were married on October 25, 1991. Lucy worked at The City of Hugoton for 8 years.
She worked at Stevens County Courthouse for many years in the past.

Lucy enjoyed being with her family and she was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She touched so many people’s lives through acts of her kindness.

Survivors include husband, Esteban Garcia, Moscow, KS.; two daughters, Jasmin Hernandez and husband Robert, Moscow, KS., Yajaira Garcia, Liberal, KS.; mother, Cruz Montoya-Santillan, Moscow, KS.; brother, Raul Santillan and wife Holly, Denver City, TX.; sister, Rosa Santillan and husband Valentin, Harlingen, Tx.; five grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Lucy was preceded in death by her father, Ignacio Santillan and infant sister, Maria Elina Santillan.

Rosary will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021, 10 AM at St. Helen Catholic Church, Hugoton.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021, 11 AM at St. Helen Catholic Church, Hugoton and burial will follow at Moscow Cemetery, Moscow, KS.

Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton is in charge of arrangements.
