Lucio Rodriguez Salcedo

Lucio Rodriguez Salcedo, passed away on May 27, 2024, in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on June 26, 1939, to Lucio and Maria (Rodriguez) Salcedo, in Durango, Mexico.

Lucio was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to family. He was a well-respected leader at Monfort Meat Packing Plant for many years, Lucio leaves behind a legacy of hard work and love that will be remembered by all who knew him. 

Lucio and Teresa (Gutierrez) Salcedo met in La Junta, Colorado, to this union they had three daughters, Patricia, Susan and Cruz.

He is survived by his wife Teresa Gutierrez Salcedo; daughters, Cruz Jacqueline Martinez and Susan Hill. Lucio's memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren, Alberto, Humberto, Joshua Alexis, Jose Antonio, Daisy Janet, Samuel, and Isaiah; great-grandchildren, Audrey Dahlia, Fabian Martin, and Santiago; brothers, Juan Salcedo, Jose Luis Salcedo, and Cruz Salcedo; sister, Blandina Salcedo; as well as numerous other cousins and friends.

Lucio was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Patricia Martinez; siblings Mercedez Salcedo Gonzales, Matilde Salcedo, and Esteban Salcedo.

A visitation in memory of Lucio will be held on May 29th from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Robson Funeral Home in Garden City. 

A funeral service will take place on May 30, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Robson Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Burial will follow the funeral services at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.

In honoring the life of Lucio Rodriguez Salcedo, we remember a devoted family man and dedicated worker who touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
