Michael “Mike” Todd Pool, 55, passed away December 5, 2019 in Oklahoma City, OK.
He was born February 20, 1964, to Edd and Elsie Pool in Dalhart, TX. He was raised on Barton Ranch in Lipscomb County.
Mike was a cattle buyer and an oilfield foreman. His greatest accomplishment was his children and grandchildren. He was really good at football and All-District 1979-1980, All-State, All-Conference, and Texas All-Star 1980-1982. He had multiple scholarships offers to play college football. His senior year he ran for 1900 yards and was a superstar on his football team. He was also really good at baseball and All-District 1979-1981. Needless to say he was a natural athlete at everything he did besides snow skiing.
His character was happy go lucky, fun loving, and knew no stranger. Mike was care free, he loved telling stories. He was most definitely the life of the party, loved music, and was an amazing singer and dancer. Mike was good at roping and loved it.
Mike and his love for Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys went a long ways. Through the good seasons and bad seasons he had nothing but love for his teams.
He is survived by son, Taos Pool and wife Ashley, Minco, OK.; daughter, Teale and husband Courtney Beliew, Temple, OK.; grandsons, Baylor and Kreece Pool, Minco, OK.; seven brothers and sisters; lifelong friend, Lonnie Calfy; numerous of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two nephews, Shannon Pool and Brady Pool.
