Nancy Ann Avila, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed on January 9, 2024, in Guymon, Oklahoma. She was born on October 1, 1981, she is the daughter of Ricardo and Lucia (Rubio) Gonzalez. With a heavy heart, we gather to celebrate her remarkable life and bid her a fond farewell.
Nancy was a beacon of love and had a profound impact on the lives of those around her. Her warm and nurturing nature made her a natural mother figure to all who knew her. She was not only a loving mother but also a devoted grandmother to eleven, with one more on the way.
Throughout her, Nancy showed unwavering dedication to her family and her children. She is survived by one son, Javier Gonzalez, residing in Odessa, TX., and three daughters: Perla Tonche and her husband Raymundo Contreras from Oklahoma City, OK., Esmeralda Ortega and her husband Martin from Oklahoma City, OK., and Crystal Alonzo from Oklahoma City, OK. Nancy's love for her children knew no bounds; she cherished every moment spent with them.
As an exceptional sister and friend, Nancy touched the hearts of her loved ones deeply. She leaves behind two brothers: Luis Gonzalez from Odessa, TX., and Alonzo Gonzalez from Oklahoma City, OK., as well as three sisters: Yolanda Rubio from Fort Worth, TX., and Monica Gonzalez from Oklahoma City, OK., Jessica Gonzalez from Elkhart, KS. Nancy's kind spirit extended beyond immediate family; she had an extraordinary ability to make friends feel like family.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Robson Funeral Home, 120 Grant Street, Elkhart, Kansas.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Robson Funeral Home in Elkhart. Burial to follow at Elkhart Cemetery.
Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Lucia Rubio. Though she has left this earthly realm, her spirit lives on through the precious memories we hold dear. Let us remember Nancy's infectious laughter, her warm hugs, and the genuine love she bestowed upon all who crossed her path.
As we come together to mourn the loss of Nancy Ann Avila, let us also celebrate her beautiful life–a life filled with love, laughter, and compassion for others. She touched our hearts in countless ways and will forever hold a special place within them.
