Patrick George Talbert, known affectionately as "Cat," has taken his final ride into the sunset on March 20, 2024, in Hugoton, Kansas. Born on April 12, 1950, in Laverne, Oklahoma, to Clyde (Shorty) and Mary Ellen (Stubbs) Talbert, he leaves behind a legacy filled with hard work and honesty that touched the lives of many.
In his 44-year career, Patrick was the proud owner of Talbert Trucking and dedicated himself to the open road as a truck driver. Later on, he transitioned to working as a compressor mechanic for JW Operating of Liberal, KS. His commitment to his work was unwavering, earning him respect and admiration from all who crossed his path.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Pat found solace and joy in the rumble of his motorcycle and the camaraderie of the Dust Bowl Riders. His memory will live on through the shared adventures and laughter with his fellow riders.
Pat was a man of integrity and diligence, qualities that endeared him to those around him. His captivating presence drew people in, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Pat was a member of the Hugoton Church of the Nazarene. He loved the Lord and his church family.
In celebrating his life and mourning his passing, Pat is survived by his beloved wife Judy (Blatter) Talbert; daughters Karen Lauppe of Satanta, KS; Kerry Becker of Ulysses, KS; Stacy Pierce of Hugoton, KS; Kimberly (Jerry) Silva of Houston, TX; siblings Max (Cecilla) Papay of Meade, KS; Ray (Lita) Talbert of Hugoton; Doneva Beeman of Hugoton; Alan (Anita) Talbert of Hugoton; as well as 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; honorary pallbearers; Steve Peterson, Ronnie Clayton, David Arnold and Colby Culwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Dawn Stephens; grandchildren, Colin Ray and Kiley Jo Becker; son-in-law, Eric Becker; nephews, Shawn McLemore and Dalton Beeman.
Memorial has been established for Hugoton City Animal Shelter in care of Robson Funeral Home, PO Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
Book signing will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 2 PM to 6 PM at Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, 10:30 AM at Hugoton Church of the Nazarene with Pastor David Piper.
While saying goodbye is never easy, may we find solace in the memories we shared with Patrick George Talbert - a man whose spirit will continue to guide us through the winding roads of life. May he rest in eternal peace.
