Patsy Sue Aaron Meyer, 86 of Amarillo, Texas, was called home by her heavenly Father Sunday, April 6, 2025, at BSA Hospital in Amarillo. She was born at home outside of Wellington, Texas, on October 10, 1938, to Doyal Granville Aaron and Velma Cass Aaron. Sue’s father Doyal died shortly after her birth, and her mother later married John Clyde Emmert. Sue graduated from Quail High School in Quail, Texas.

On November 16, 1957, Sue married Dale Vance Ratliff outside of Wellington, Texas. She and Dale lived in Wellington until 1965, when they moved their family to Clayton, New Mexico. After Ron’s death in November 2022, Sue moved to Park Place Towers in Amarillo, Texas, where she lived until her death.

Sue worked for the Hugoton school system and retired after many years of faithful service. She enjoyed playing piano, crocheting, cooking, baking, singing and watching her beloved KU Jayhawks play basketball. She was also a long-time member of PEO.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her brothers Jack Aaron, Otis Emmert, Thurman Emmert, J.V. “Shorty” Emmert, John “Dub” Emmert and Tommy Emmert; her sisters Joy Emmert, Corene Childress and Virginia Kimbro.
