Phyllis Ann Ellis (Skidgel)

Phyllis Ann (Skidgel) Ellis, 68, Elkhart resident, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas. The daughter of Thomas and Sara Ann (Woods) Skidgel was born December 10, 1952, in Sacramento, California.

She married Gary Lynn Ellis on February 2, 1979, in Rawlins, Wyoming. To this union were two loved and precious children: Robert Lynn and Shanda Marie.

Phyllis enjoyed her dogs and listening to audiobooks. She liked getting coffee and going to bingo with the girls. She enjoyed arts and crafts. All of that completed her heart until eight grandchildren came along; they then became her world. She wanted anything to do with the grandkids.

Survivors include loving husband, Gary Ellis, of the home; son, Robert Ellis and wife Sheena, Elkhart, KS.; daughter, Shanda Ellis, Elkhart, KS.; brothers, Tom Skidgel and wife Barbara, Rawlins, WY., Terry Skidgel, Clarksville, AR.; sister, Leesa Skidgel, Clarksville, AR.; seven grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Janice Mosley, grandchild Alex Lynn Ellis.

A book signing will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021, 2 PM to 6 PM and Thursday, December 2, 2021, 10 AM to 6 PM, Robson Funeral Home, 120 Grant Street, Elkhart, Kansas.

On December 3, 2021, Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, Robson Funeral Home Chapel, 120 Grant Street, Elkhart, Kansas, with Pastor Terrell Giddens presiding.
