Rick Bhowan Kanhai, 57, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Morton County Hospital, Elkhart, Kansas.
Rick was the son of Gewan Kandhai and Nandranie (Khemraj) Kandhai. He was born on May 4, 1963 in Georgetown, Guyana.
He was owner and operator of Rick’s Video in Elkhart. Rick enjoyed being busy and he loved being an entrepreneur of his small businesses. Small businesses as such; travel agency, Kirby Vacuums, Western Union, the game room, mechanic shop, and construction. He was a member of the Kiwanis, Chamber Of Commerce and was on the board of Whistle Stop Park.
Survivors include a son, Joseph Desantos Kanhai, Greely, CO.; two daughters, Nichole Desantos-Kanhai, Elkhart, KS., Erica Desantos-Kanhai, Hollis, OK.; brother, Ravi Kanhai and wife Sherry, Claremont, FL.; nieces, Meena and Megan Kanhai, Claremont, FLsister, Sharda Kandhai, Elkhart, KS., uncle and aunt, Ramgobind and Wanda Khemraj, Elkhart, KS.; adopted grandma, Myrtle LaFond, Elkhart, KS.; 4 grandchildren, Rayana Woods, Rayan Deleon, Zane Molino and Zena Molino; daughter by heart, Yessenia Bearce and husband, William, Elkhart, KS.; and host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Meena Kanhai.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from, 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. at the Robson Funeral Home, (120 Grant Street) Elkhart, KS. The family will be present from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. to greet friends and the family visitation
will be Facebook Live on Robson Funeral Home’s Facebook Page for those who cannot attend.
