Velma E. Hockett, 95, Satanta, Kansas, died on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Satanta District Hospital, Satanta, KS.
The daughter of Glen & Oma (Hazelton) DeGarmo, she was born March 24, 1919, at Haswell Colorado.
She and Arthur L. Hockett married were on July 29, 1938, Ulysses, Kansas. She graduated from Ulysses High School from 1937.
She was member of the United Methodist Church, Satanta, Kansas.
Survivors include two sons, Dean Hockett & wife Sherry, Satanta, KS, Don Hockett, Solomon, KS; one daughter, Eveyln Brownlee, Liberal, KS; daughter in law, Deloris Hockett, Wichita, KS; Sister in law, Betty DeGarmo, Wichita, KS, 12 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur, two son, Elwin & Douglas Hockett, son in law, Charles Brownlee, grandson, Patrick Hockett, great granddaughter, Margaruite Brownlee and 8 brothers.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church, Satanta, Kansas Pastor Kelvin Heitmann and burial at Dudley Township Cemetery, Satanta, Kansas
Paul’s Funeral Home, Satanta is in charge of arrangements.
