Wilma Kay Bartel,64, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Stevens County Hospital, Hugoton, Kansas.

Wilma was the daughter of Martin R. and Helen R. (Reimer) Bartel. She was born on July 16, 1956 in Fowler, Kansas. She was raised in Meade, Kansas and she spent most of her adult life in Colorado.

She was attending the Trinity Baptist Church of Hugoton. She was a member of Emmanuel Mennonite Church of Meade. Wilma loves to publish and read books. She has a collection of books in her home. She had a passion for helping people with publishing their books. Wilma is owner of book publishing company Salt and Light Book LLC.

Survivors include sister, Ruth Bartel of Hugoton; two brothers, Harry Bartel, Hugoton and Richard Bartel, Ulysses, KS.; a niece, Erin Arnold and husband PJ; a nephew, Clint Bartel and wife Maggie; two great nieces, Olivia and Charlotte Bartel; a great nephew, Cecil Arnold and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, brother, Donald George “Don” Bartel.

Memorials have been established for Trinity Baptist Church. Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, PO Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.

There will be two separate memorial services, one in Hugoton and one in Meade. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 2:30 PM at Trinity Baptist Church, Hugoton, KS. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 11:00 AM to Emmanuel Mennonite Church, Meade, KS.

Friends may call Friday, September 4, 2020, 2 PM to 6 PM at Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton, KS.
